VPN Installation Guide for NSSPC Preliminary Round

Step 1: Check Your Login Username and Password

Students Log in to the registration system (https://nsspc.io/my/account) and check your personal VPN Configuration Login Username and Login Password on your Profile page (see Attachment 1).

Step 2: Download the configuration file

go to website https://nsspc.io/contest/login, keyin the username and password just now you get

- once you login, you can see there is three configuration file, download the platform you are using

Windows: userxxx_win.conf

Linux: userxxx_rpm_deb.conf

macOS: userxxx_other.conf

Step 3: Install the VPN Software

Step 4: Import Your Configuration File

4.1 In Step 3 during the installation guide, click "Import tunnel(s) from file". You will see 3 configuration files in your [Downloads] folder, select corresponding configuration file for your operating system.

Step 5: Test the VPN Connection & Recover

- After importing the configuration file, if you see the screen shown in Attachment 2, the setup has been completed successfully.

- Click Activate to test the VPN connection.

- When the Status shows Active (see Attachment 3), the VPN connection is successful.

Step 6: Check your IP

-  Visit https://ifconfig.me/ and confirm that your IP address begins with 20.198.176.100. Once you see this IP, your VPN test is complete. (IF not IPv4, means not success)

- After testing, click Deactivate to restore your normal internet connection.

Important Reminders

🔹 If you will be participating from your school network, please perform the VPN test while connected to the school network.

🔹 If you encounter any errors (e.g. firewall restrictions), please take a screenshot of the error message and send it to the organizer for assistance.

🔹 Official VPN usernames and contest login credentials will be provided after 24 June. On the contest day, please use the official username and the official DOMjudge contest account provided by the organizer.
